All about the role: Inspire, Challenge, and Support Our Learners
We are seeking a passionate, skillful, and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning and development of our Key Stage 1 pupils, guiding them through their early years in education with care and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes pupil well-being and learning.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support holistic pupil development.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil attainment and contribute to whole-school tracking systems.
- Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare and safety of all pupils.
Person Specification: Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience with phonics programmes
- Familiarity with SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practises.
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school life.
